1950s AUTOCAR DC103 OILFIELD TRUCK 8x10 B&W PHOTO, Wesley Stephens, Graham,Texas
Price: US $9.99

This photo is a high quality new 8” x 10” black & white glossy photo reproduction of a late 1950s AUTOCAR MODEL DC10364S-OH TANDEM OILFIELD BED TRUCK owned by WESLEY STEPHENS of Graham, Texas. My original photo was an authentic vintage Autocar factory photo.

”SAMPLE” will not appear on your photo, it is only on the scanned image. Laying the “SAMPLE” sheet over the photo for the scan, causes the image to be slightly yellowed. Your photo reproduction will be pure black & white with no yellow cast.

DESCRIPTION: This AUTOCAR DIESEL DC10364S-OH Oil Field Bed Truck Serial No. 45421 had a 295” WB, 12.00-24 front tires, 11.00/24 rear tires, Cummins 220-hp engine, 5x3 transmissions, reinforced frame, and standard Oilfield equipment of heavy winch with headache rack, folding gin poles, and a rolling tail board. Wesley Stephens was an Oilfield hauler from Graham, TX, and by his door sign also furnished Bulldozers. Graham, TX is the county seat of Young County in north central Texas.

WESLEY STEPHENS: Born in 1907, Wesley came to Graham in 1929 with one truck to work the oilfields. In speaking with his son, I learned that they operated 120-140 trucks at one time. For 2-3 years after Wesley’s death in 1988 the company was still active. Wesley had a nickname of “Stubby” that he got while playing football in high school. At one time they had the largest oilfield truck in that part of Texas, a huge LM Mack. They sent men to Allentown, PA to drive it home, and spent a good deal of time stopped by highway patrolmen, who had never seen a truck that large and wanted to admire it.

CONDITION: This outstanding black & white glossy photo is a newly reproduced photo from a photo in my personal lifetime collection. This photo has been printed on archival quality HP Premium Plus Glossy Photo Paper using HP 02 Vivera Inks, producing a professional quality photo that resists fading over 100 years ... the best money can buy. This 8x10 photo has a white border around the photo. For your information, the description and documentation of this photo will be loosely taped to the back side of this photo. I try to ad some “added value” to my photos by researching each one, adding some history and information that you may not know. If I get something incorrect, please let me know … thanks!
