1950s BATTERY OPERATED RADICON FIRST REMOTE CONTROL BUS HOT ROD CHEVY FORD MOPAR
Price: US $285.00
This listing is for a vintage 1955 BATTERY OPERATED RADICON REMOTE CONTROL BUS w/box as shown. I placed batteries in the bus and remote and attempted to play with it. The transmitter made the buzzing sound and blue light as the instruction manual said it should. The bus / receiver moved when put in the \"ON\" position. It turned the front wheels from left to straight and then right then continuously repeating its actions. The rear wheels also powered the bus. At this point I tried to control the bus with the remote and was not able to do so. It moved the bus constantly while it was in the \"ON\" position. The bus itself is in good / average condition. No noticeable damage anywhere, looks good. No corrosion anywhere. Battery compartment is clean as are the connections. This is a \"MADE IN JAPAN\" toy listed in Don Hultzman\'s book, COLLECTOR\'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002, second edition. It is listed on page 144. It is a 1950\'s era toy made by the M-T Modern Toys Co. It has a rarity of 4 on a scale to 10 being the rarest, and a value of $500.00 in C-10 condition without the box. The original box is included. It is in remarkably good condition with no damage or repairs. Displays very well. Also included are all the original inserts and instruction booklet, warning tag and a schematic detailing the wiring to both the bus and the remote. This would make an nice addition to any collector of buses, trucks or farm toys. Other 50\'s & 60\'s mint & mib battery op & wind-up toys listed in sale & my store.
