1950\'s Heathkit Crystal Receiver Model CR-1 Here\'s one of Heathkits fine long lasting sets from the past. This one works well and looks great. The two resonant doubled tuned circuits give it excellent selectivity, while still allowing good headphone volume. There is no internal noise generated with this simple passive design, making it a good front end for any amplifier. It is a stand alone crystal radio, or an amplifier can be added for more volume. The tuning controls work smoothly, and the bakelite case has no chips or cracks. It has been tested with an outdoor aerial and ground connection. Please email me any questions.
