1957 John Deere 520 gas

Up for sale with is a Barn Findoriginal 1957 John Deere 520 gas row crop. This tractor comes with a roll- o-matic front end, 3 point hitch ( minus center link, and sway blocks, no breaks,or welds), cylinder hanger, PTO shield, single hydraulics, JD step, and a floatride seat. All the lights are present on the tractor. The power steering worksgood both ways. Turning to the right is a little better than turning to theleft. All the gears work as they should. The tractor runs pretty good. It mightneed a carb cleaning or a rebuild carb. This tractor hasn’t been running forawhile before I purchased it. The previous owner told me that it was storedinside for the last 6 years not running. I recently put new plugs, points,condinsor in the tractor and it fired up the first time. The tractor holds goodoil pressure when it is running ( shown in photo). The tractor has good gauges.There is no tach for the tractor. The metal on the tractor has a couple ofdents and dings ( shown in photos). When the tractor is running you have tokeep your hand up on the gas fee, because the disc is worn out and it wont stayup. The manifolds are good on the tractor. On the left brake you have to moveback with your foot a little so it would be back in its proper location. Theright brake moves back freely on its own to its proper location. The PTOdoesn’t work at this time. It probably needs a little adjustment. The reartires are miss matched with weather checking. One rear tire is a Goodyear12.4-36 Traction Torque @ 50%. The other rear tire is a Goodyear 12.4-36 SureGrip Tractor @ 35%. There is rust around both rear valve stems ( shown inphotos). Both rear tires have fluid in them.This tractor has the correct front rims (JD1268R). The front tires aremiss matched with weather checking as well. One front tire is a Tri Rib 5.50-16@ 30%. The other front tire is a Goodyear 5.50-16 @ 25%. This tractor might nothave the shinny paint, but it is a pretty decent original tractor. This wouldbe a good project for someone who would like to restore. There is a couple ofthings you have to fix to make it a nice running tractor.
