Here are the markings I use to help determine the number and the year of manufacture of each doll as listed in the title:

• The 1959 #1, 1959 #2, 1960 #3 and 1960 #4 Ponytail Barbies (stock number 850) are all marked: Barbie TM/Pats. Pend./©MCMLVIII/by Mattel/Inc. (notice the TM after the word Barbie.)
• The 1961 #5 Ponytail Barbie (stock number 850) is marked: Barbie ® Pats. Pend. © MCMLVIII by Mattel Inc. (notice the R after the word Barbie.)
• 1962-63 #6 Ponytail Barbie (stock number 850) is marked: Midge T.M./©1962/Barbie®/©1958/by/Mattel, Inc.
• 1964 Ponytail Barbie (stock number 850) is marked: Midge T.M./©1962/Barbie®/©1958/by/Mattel, Inc. Patented.
• 1964 Swirl Ponytail Barbie (stock number 850) is marked: Midge T.M./©1962/Barbie®/©1958/by/Mattel, Inc. Patented.

NOTE: I try to take clear pictures in indirect sunlight that clearly show the item’s natural color as well as any flaws so please be sure to view the picture(s) in order to judge the condition for yourself. I will note below any flaws not readily visible in the pictures. Please feel free to ask any questions as well.

CONDITION NOTES: This lovely doll comes with excellent toning showing only minor variations in color with her face showing the most pinkish hue along with her arms. She has nice hair that just needs some attention. She has excellent facial paint, as you can see, with lovely eyebrows, eyelashes, eyes, lips and cheeks. She has no green around her ears. Her fingernail polish is about 65% there. She has a great body with nice almost even toning. Her hips and arms are nice and snug as well. Her outfit is minty showing no significant wear. Her original stand has only minor wear to the plastic base; however, I found no cracks, chips or other significant wear. You’ll be very impressed with this lovely doll! This original Barbie item is part of a fantastic collection of vintage 1959 to 1974 era Barbie dolls, Barbie Family and other Barbie accessories I will be posting to this week. Unless noted below, the clothes are tagged as applicable and the shoes in each sale are not split and are original Barbie and correctly marked as appropriate. Please note that the camera picks up lint and dust resting on the items that may appear as flaws. Please examine each picture carefully for actual flaws keeping in mind that most of these items look far better in person than they do in the pictures. I will note in the CONDITION NOTES any details or flaws that are not readily apparent in the pictures but please keep in mind that I sometimes miss a small problem.
