Up for sale is the 1967 Special Mint Coin Set.

The 1967 sets were the third and final year these Special Mint Sets were released by the United States Mint.

In 1967 the United States Mint did not produce a regular issue proof or mint set and instead produced these special mint sets which are coveted by both proof and mint set collectors.

As the last year in this short series, the Kennedy half-dollar is the last 40% silver half-dollar produced in this finish.
Also included are the Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime and Washington quarter.

All five coins are housed in the Mint’s special hard plastic holder to protect the special finish imparted to each coin.
