Year: 1967 Description:This has to be the highest gradeexample of this classic wind-up toy robot I\'ve seen. Produced byYoshiya in Japan it doesn\'t have a single handling mark on it. Comescomplete with it\'s original box which is also the best I\'ve seen; plusoriginal inserts. And it works great! Clockwork tin litho robot with 4-rotating chest gears moves forwardwith lumbering left/right walking motion. All tin litho with originalplastic hands, gears, chest plate and eyes. Has an attached key anduses the telescopic position of the antenna as it\'s stop/start switch.Works great, but of course it no longer sparks. Has all four originalrubber conveyor wheels under the feet.Deep purple to black colored body with red shoes and backpack. Marked\"KO\" and \"Made in Japan\" on backpack.Colorful box is illustrated with walking robot in the foreground and anastronaut in the background. KO trademark printed in lower left corner.Includes both original single-wall cardboard inserts.Size: 11\" including antenna. 9\" without antenna. Condition: I thinkit\'s safe to assume that this toy was never played with. I grade it NM+only because of of two teeny, nearly invisible nicks on the chest plate(just to the upper right of pink gear, see last photo). Regardless it\'sstill the highest condition chest plate I\'ve seen for this toy. Inaddition, I couldn\'t find any wear where you\'d expect to see it;corners, edges, backpack, etc. Key doesn\'t even have a fingerprint onit. Antenna is straight without any bends. Rubber conveyor wheels underthe feet are perfect. Feet themselves don\'t have a single mark on themincluding the edges. Metal tabs have never been messed with. All partsare original without any touch-up. And again it works great. The box is just as spectacular as the toy. Near mint with strongoriginal color and not a spot of edge or corner wear. Cover does have asingle ΒΌ\" edge crease on the lower right corner and a second about 2\"above the first. Between them is a very faint, not even a bend (it\'sjust not as flat as the surrounding paper). Also a short barelyinvisible edge crease on the left which doesn\'t show up in my photos.The box bottom has a faint crease on one short panel and an area wherethe key pushed against the inside of the box (not torn, but you can seewhere it was pressed). Inserts are perfect. Surface remnants oforiginal price sticker on one end. That\'s it!As you can see I bought this robot totally based on its condition.Really a beauty!
