Here is a rare original MAY 1972 Schwinn Stingray "LEMON PEELER" 20" Krate MUSCLE BIKE! (EH Serial Number) This is the latest Krate I personally have ever seen! This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!)
*This is agruably one of the very COOLEST Schwinn bikes of all time! EVERY kid wanted one back in the day... few were lucky enough to own one. You did not see them often back in the day, and almost NEVER see them in any condition these days! They were designed after the drag racing muscle cars of the time! They hit the nail on the head with this one! They are SO cool!
*The bike is LOADED with cool options only found on the top of the line "Krate" series at the time. The bike has the cool correct "cantalever" 5-speed Schwinn frame, cool wide apehanger handlebars, matching Schwinn hand grips, chrome Schwinn SPRINGER front forks, (crown looks more silver) cool Schwinn pedals, chrome front and rear fenders, 5-speed "Mag" sprocket, cool rear sissy bar SHOCKS sissy bar, and so much more! It has the cool Schwinn front rim with the correct ATOM drum brake. The rear wheel is the legendary Schwinn DISC BRAKE S2 rear wheel. Both front and rear tires hold air. The front tire is a Schwinn. The rear tire is Schwinn raised letter Slick tire! I dont know where you would find another like it! It is awesome! It has the correct original screen 5-speed chainguard. The bike is an original 5-speed STICK SHIFT with overload tube and with operable hand controlled brakes. It shifts and brakes. (will need basic adjustment) I rode this one a couple miles and it is FUN! The seat is a NICE NICE NICE seat recovered by Pete from Hyperformance Rays of Arizona!
*Now is your chance to own one of the COOLEST bikes EVER MADE! Make someone in your life happy with this one. This is a cool bike that you can enjoy for years! It is money in the bank and will only go UP in value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. If you check out , the selection on any 1960s Stingray bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them. Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.
NOTED FLAWS. The bike is not bad considering its age. It would need a resto for show or enjoy it just like it is! It is a great look! I have had this one on display inside my home and people LOVE it! The paint is original but does have obvious chips scratches, scrapes, etc. (see pics) Would be nicer if touched up or enjoy it in its current patina. The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) I got this just like you see it. Be your own judge of what is original etc. (appears to be mostly original but I got it basically just like you see it) Cables are newer. These are AWESOME bikes! I have owned a July 73 for 15+ years and it hangs on my wall! Everyone that comes here LOVES IT! Most people do not sell them who have them. I hope you love it! *This is arguably the TOP OF THE LINE Schwinn Stingray bike ever made! People who have them do not sell them. A good investment. Take good care of this and it will only go UP in value! I saw an Apple Krate just like this for sale at a local car show for $3600! Own this one for less starting with !

*Sorry for the LONG description, these bikes really excite me. This awesome ride starts low with ABSOLUTELY so offer early and don't miss out! This will sell to the high buyer! Sorry, no buy it now is offered. People will ENVY you when you ride by at a car show or on the street with this bike! Sold as is because it is used. I try to list anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.

Generally, if I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Monday, it allows me enough time to get your bike to the shop for packing and to ship along with the Tuesday AM shipment.
