Here is a rare original MARCH 1976 SCHWINN STINGRAY 20\" 5-speed muscle bike! (The serial number is CM) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!) This one has been in VERY long term storage and cannot wait to be enjoyed once again! The Stingray and Krate bikes of this era are the coolest and the hardest to find!
*The bike is in the original and very appealing RADIANT BLUE factory painted color. Has a cool 5-speed frame, (this is the style frame you need if you want to create an original paint \"Blueberry Krate\" 5-speed bike. Of course the date is a couple years late) original forks, wide apehanger handlebars, Schwinn hand grips, cool rear sissy bar, large Krate style rear brake, trigger lever thumb shifter, and so much more! (would look cool with an added stik shifter!) I dont know where you would find another like it! It is awesome! The bike is an original FIVE speed with hand controlled brakes. Has a cool banana seat. (does not look original, shows age, rips etc) It has the cool side stamped double knurled Schwinn Tubular S-2 rear rim with a Schwinn S-7 front rim. Both front and rear tires do hold air. They both appear to be original for the bike! The rear is a fat Schwinn STINGRAY tire. (says Stingray on the side) The front is a slightly newer replacement. This one was discovered in a basement of a long closed up bike shop in Philadelphia PA! This one has been in long term storage and cannot wait to be enjoyed once again!
*Now is your chance to own one of the COOLEST bikes EVER MADE! Make someone in your life happy with this one. This is a cool bike that you can enjoy for years! It is money in the bank and will only go UP in value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. If you check out , the selection on any 1960s Stingray bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them. Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.
*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is ok for its age! Enjoy it like it is or have the perfect basis for an original paint Blueberry Krate bike! The paint looks relatively ok for a 45+ year old boys bike! (has chips scratches etc but has survived better than many) The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. The MAG sprocket has surface rust on the back side. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to. Rear rim hoop has side dents) The chainguard is original paint. It has a newer decal and a rigged up rear mount. (see close up pics) NOT trying to nit pick every little thing, just like to be honest. WITH SOME TLC you will have a cool bike or display it like it is! Otherwise, this bike is AWESOME! I hope you enjoy it! Most people opted for krate bikes in this era so you rarely see bikes like this! If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Sorry, no buy it now is offered. People will ENVY you when you ride by at a car show or on the street with this bike! Sold as is because it is used. I try to list anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.

Generally, if I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Monday, it allows me enough time to get your bike to the shop for packing and to ship along with the Tuesday AM shipment. If I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Thursday, it gives enough time to have it packed and ship Friday AM. If paid after that time, please expect it to go out with the next shipment.
*SHIPPING COSTS: Fed Ex, USPS, as well as UPS have recently raised their shipping rates due to the higher cost of fuel. Sorry for the slight increase in shipping costs.
