Here is one of the most AMAZING muscle bikes I have ever offered on !
Here is a rare original 1977 or 1978 Murray KING KAT 20" factory made CHOPPER bike! (U5276514 Serial Number) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!) This bike is in very original condition. In fact, as far as I can tell, nearly every single part of this bike is original. This bike has been in VERY long term storage and has not been owned by all the collectors. Be the first to get this bike back into the light and enjoy it!
*This is very possibly the FINEST unresotred original King Kat/Fire Cat type chopper bikes EVER offered on ! Urban legend says this. The bike was bought new for the kid who had this way back in 1978. (I believe these were only made in 1977 and 1978) I was told the parents bought the bike and shortly thereafter he removed the original kickstand. They told him he was not allowed to ride the bike until he put the kickstand back on! Well, he never put it back on and NEVER rode the bike after that! Consequently, this bike is in AMAZING unrestored original condition! I was tol this bike has not been ridden sine the late 70s! WOW! How many can there possibly be left like this on the planet? About every 5 years or so a Fire Cat shows up. I have never seen another King Kat in any condition for sale anywhere! The King Kat is ultra rare to find in any condion, much less as BEAUTIFUL as this one is! (see pics and be your own judge) This is as near to NEW OLD STOCK as you could ever ask for!
*The bike is in the original and very appealing BLACK factory painted color with the cool original decals you see! This on has the trademark LONG chrome springer (motorycle looking) CHOPPER forks in chrome, original sisey bar with the original end caps, (these were often removed before the bike was even sold when new, even the rear wheel has the end caps on it! WOW!) COOL King Kat ONLY long banana seat, cool original high rise apehanger handlebars, original grips, original chainguard, and so much more! I BELIEVE this bike to be 100% original parts! (except for the kickstand, see pics and be your own judge) The BEST part? This bike was made in USA!
The bike is completed with the correct rear fender in place! (these were often broken when the bike was only a couple years old and thrown away) It has chrome rims front and rear! The front tire is the cool narrower tire. The rear tire is a wide fat cheater slick tire! They are not all cracked up and I believe are the ones the bike was born with! WOW! The bike EVEN has all 5 original reflectors in place! This baby is like a TIME CAPSULE! You will be the coolest kid on the block with this one!
*Now is your chance to own one of the COOLEST bikes EVER MADE! Make someone in your life happy with this one. This is a cool bike that you can enjoy for years! It is money in the bank and will only go UP in value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1980s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. If you check out , the selection on any vintage muscle bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them. Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.
*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is NICE! The paint looks good for a 30+ year old boys bike! (probabaly has a chip or scratch here or there) The seat has a couple tiny splits on the top. (see closup pics) Some of the original decals are slightly lifting from age. I did not dare glue them back on or anything like that. I will save that fun for you. If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you offer.
*SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT! This bike will make a great investment! If you take GOOD care of it, it will only go UP in value! If you found a beater bike like this, you would spend THOUSANDS of dollars between searching for impossible to find parts as well as spending the time and $$$ to restore what you are lucky enough to find. (stuff like chainguard, springer chopper forks, seat, decals, simply is next to impossbile to find) PLUS they are never totally original when you build them from parts. IF you have EVER wanted a bike like this, DO NOT MISS OUT on this one! You will probabaly never get an opportunity like this again!
*This bike would look right at home in a museum! They simply do not come along in this condition! This is an amazing find! I do not have a buy it now so please do not ask!
*YES I am including the cool original bike book from 1978 with the KING KAT on the cover as a FREE BONUS! (it ls loaded with cool info and original ads inside as well)
*Sorry for the LONG description, these bikes really excite me. This awesome ride starts low with ABSOLUTELY NO RESERVE so offer early and don't miss out! This will sell to the high buyer! Sorry, no buy it now is offered. People will ENVY you when you ride by at a car show or on the street with this bike! Sold as is because it is used. I try to list anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.

Had a couple questions for date coding the bike. Here is the info.I checked the bike out. I found serial numbers M095820 855 and V5276524 on the head tube. The seat is dated 6-29-1979 and the frame decal is dated 7-79This would obviously make the bike a 1979 model. thank you!
