Here is a hard to find original 1998-99 era Schwinn Stingray \"APPLE KRATE\" 20\" muscle bike. (AK11942 Serial Number) These bikes are truely iconic! This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!) This bike is in very original condition. In fact, as far as I can tell, nearly every single part of this bike is original.
*The original Krate bikes were one of the most successful series of bikes ever made by Schwinn! Every kid wanted one,,,, few were lucky enough to get one. They were so iconic, they made a high quality reporuduction of the bike in the late 1990s! Few were made and most of them are in private collections. They are rarely offered for sale.
*They also made a Black Phantom in the 1990s. They were also a low production, high quality bike! The perfect ingredients for a good investment!
*This bike has all the \"bells and whistles\" just like the original. It has the famous original Flamboyant Red Schwinn paint and decals, original Apple Krate chainguard, front SPRINGER FORK, rear sissy bar with REAR SHOCKS, tall apehanger handlebars, cool Schwinn hand grips cool original banana seat with the factory \"S\" (Schwinn) racing stripe, (has a very small side poke hole) and everything you see! It has chrome fenders front and rear and the 20\" rear and 16\" front wheel. They were designed after drag racing cars of the late 1960s! Check out the awesome raised WHITE LETTER SLICK rear tire! Has a Schwinn front tire. Absolutely EVERYTHING about this bike is cool! The bike is an original single speed with operable coaster style brakes.
*This bike will make an outstanding display wherever you put it! It would look great in your office, shop, rec room, sports bar, man (or lady) cave, or wherever you put it! The cheap wal mart black friday bikes that sold for $89.95 a couple years ago typically sell for $250-$300 today. This is a real deal Schwinn made bike that is already going on 15 years old! Take great care of it and it will only go up in value! I believe these were around $400 when it was new! I am offering it starting at only $0.99 with !
*Now is your chance to own one of the COOLEST bikes EVER MADE! Make someone in your life happy with this one. This is a cool bike that you can enjoy for years! It is money in the bank and will only go UP in value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. If you check out , the selection on any 1960s Stingray bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them. Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.
*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is ok! The paint looks fairly good for a 15+ year old boys bike! (may have some chips or scratches from age but is not bad) The chrome is shiney but not perfect show quality. The front fender chrome is not great. Front wheel shows age too. (see pics, I have nothing to hide) Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you offer.
*I rode this one at a local swap meet! OMG did it get the attention! People loved seeing it! I got a ton of compliments with the bike. Its a COOL looking bike that you can ride and enjoy or display! People LOVE the look of a bike that is not perfectly flawless!

Sorry, no buy it now is offered. People will ENVY you when you ride by at a car show or on the street with this bike! Sold as is because it is used. I try to list anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.
