For your all-year-long Hallowe\'en loving pleasure, we are HAUNTINGly happy topresent a FRIGHTfully fun couple of vintage Hallowe\'en pressed paper pulp Jacko\' Lanterns (which many refer to as paper or papier mache) from the 1950s.These two lifelong creepy companions are in excellent condition!Please meet Justin and Justine Jack. Both are painted in WICKEDly wonderful Hallowe\'encolors of old brownish-orange and dark green. Justin, the larger Jack o\' Lantern, is a classic and is in VERY FINE condition!He measures 5” tall x 6” wide x 5” deep. Justine is a harder-to-find designfrom this period and she must be considered to be in VERY FINE to NEAR MINT condition.She measures 4” tall x 4” wide x 4” deep. This lifelong couple makes an absolutely endearingly eerie display when lit usingbattery-operated tea candles now found in most craft stores. Ziz enjoys owningsome insert-less pulp lanterns since they can be used easily for decoration withoutfear of paper fading and when lit they strongly resemble real pumpkin Jack o\'Lanterns. Neither of these lanterns has a paper insert – but neither shows anyevidence of ever having one. This is a good time to mention that not all pulplanterns were sold with paper inserts!This couple came to us as a pair who have been together since the 1950s. Their exactcondition is as follows: Justin has paint rubs to his nose and cheeks, and afew elsewhere – but he has NO pulp damage whatsoever. There are no cracks atall but he does have a little candle wax in his interior, indicating that heonce lit up his family home on at least one All Hallows\' Eve. He does not havea wire handle; however bailing wire would be the perfect replacement for this.Little Justine is in superb condition for her age and has NO cracks orstructural damage whatsoever. She has a tiny bit of paint wear to her upperlip, and one cheek. Other than that her paint is in amazing condition and iteven retains most of its original sheen. Her interior is almost pristine withslight evidence that she, too, was illuminated with a candle for a very shorttime on that SPOOKY night. She is also missing a wire handle but again, onecould easily be found for her. Ziz particularly loves both of these charming lanterns’ expressions. They smilein anticipation of our beloved All Hallows\' Eve holiday.
