FIVE DAY sale ENDING - SUNDAY NOVEMBER 2nd I attended a HUGE doll sale and going to be listing a lot of 1950’sdolls over the next several weeks. I amnot going to do any cleaning, primping, redressing, adding things, etc. I am going to offer them basically “as is” -“as found” – “as purchased”. These areall from a NON-smoking household and have no odors, other than smelling like avintage DOLL in “some” instances!
I am offering ALL of these dolls with a reasonable (low) opening offer and . I was able to acquire them at agood price, so want to just pay it forward for the former “late” collector, andsee they get into another doll collector’s great collection.Hereis the 2nd Uneeda Dollikin doll I acquired this past Sunday. Her stringing and posing overall is prettygood. I do not think she would need tobe restrung, as she does hold a pose….I am not sure about her clothes. She will come to you as you see her inthe first picture, but again – basically know you are purchasing her “nude” asyou will most likely want to redress her. There is a stain on the front of the top part of the dress and she has on some kind of pedal pusher type pants under her white skirt. I am including all the clothes and replacement shoes though, for whatever they are worth...This doll’s eyes are clear, no lost or cut eye lashes, so that is good. She also had nice light blue (almost light lilac colored) eye shadow.I did end up washing her face, and there are two very light orangishcolored marks on her forehead and upper left cheek. I have scrubbed them with cleaner and theydid not lighten up that much, so please know they are there. Not that objectionable to me, but they mightbe to you, so needed to mention them…see close up pics. NO crackedKNEE joints – SEE CLOSEUP PICTURES of her knees!Right after I listed my other Dollikin doll, \"last night\" = the Brunette Dollikin..... someone emailed me wondering if that doll had the hip socket issue that is known to be with these dolls. The other Dollikin I have listed does NOT have this issue (the one I listed last night, the brunette).... BUT - unfortunately this blonde Dollikin DOES have it... see last pictures..
From the back she is fine... it is her right upper leg area that fits into the hip socket that is slightly warped, but her stringing is pretty much tight! Go figure??See the last pictures on this page for that flaw...sorry about this issue, but apparently it is fairly common.
