QUEEN OF THE FAIRIES ENCHANTS you with this exotic pink silk embroidered cocoon caftan. It is liberally adorned with hand embroidery with gold metallic work. There are only two seams, see last photo, unlined but neat with the selvages used for the seam edges. Bound along the edges with more handwork embroidery. No closures, meant to be worn open and flowing, lightweight so it billows...This is large and meant to be draping and flowing when worn, so measurements are on the large size and this will fit a range of sizes, within reason of course...The caftan is spotlessly clean, no stains, no underarm discoloration, no odors. No tears, no need of repairs. This is sturdy,wearable and in excellent condition, see all the many large photos below... Look to my store to see my other unique items.

Vintage items are old so none will be perfect, if you have any doubts as to the condition of an item please inquire first, as I accept returns but only for gross misrepresentation. I do not take returns for dresses that do not fit. 100 year old dresses were not cut for the modern figure. Dresses were cut differently and for smaller people and once you try to get into a dress not meant for your body I cannot resell the dress because it has been stressed from having been tried on by someone too large to get into it. Measurements are fully expanded, the size of the dress, not the body they will fit. Allow for ease, dresses must have considerable drape to fit and hang properly. Only the waist can fit snugly. Any accessories not included in sale. Good luck offerding.

My Dresses are very old and unique, and their worth is considerable as ART, and not necessarily as a wearable garment, although many are wearable. Please inquire as to the wear-ability of any dress listed, as \"wearable\" is a term that is subject to interpretation, even if I deem it wearable you may not, so ask questions so we can have a dialog about the wear-ability of any particular item before you offer. Wearable to me means you can stand and look pretty in it, but not slide across a car seat, or do a boarding house reach. So if you are getting married, or plan to wear a dress all day for an important function, please inquire if a particular dress is of the sturdier variety and in a condition that can stand being worn for more strenuous activities without having a mishap. I like to know you are happy with your item and that it arrived safely, so please leave me response to let me know our transaction is concluded and I will do the same.

Vintage garments are worn and used merchandise and will not be like new, even when in excellent condition for their age. Old things have a special quality that we are attracted to, a patina that adds beauty and character, but they need special handling and will have inherent flaws such as pin holes, weakness, and general surface soil and age, so if you want flawless do not buy vintage. Old fabric deteriorates with age and does not retain its tensile strength. A 100 year old silk dress most likely will not make it thru your wedding. The oldest most beautiful dresses are best for the collector of antique gowns; their value is their beauty.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING:

DOMESTIC buyers: I offer First Class or Parcel Select where possible to save on shipping. As Paypal requires tracking all items are mailed Priority Mail with delivery confirmation unless they are small and less than 13 ounces wrapped, then I will send first class with delivery confirmation. I print my labels online so they are legible. Any item selling for more than $250.00 is sent signature confirmation as required by Paypal.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:

MORE ON SHIPPING FOR INTERNATIONAL buyers: Besides reading above, Please note that shipping is more expensive than domestic. Customs or import duties, taxes or other charges may be imposed when you collect your item and are not included in the item price or the shipping charges and are the buyer\'s responsibility. Please check with your country\'s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be and if the item is allowable for import to your country prior to offerding/buying. I do not charge a handling fee, so please do not handicap me with poor stars, as I can do nothing about the high cost of international shipping and still provide tracking that Paypal requires for both parties protection. The US Post Office has just raised rates again, any item weighing less than a pound is still charged at the 1 pound rate by the US postal system for Priority Mail, so small items may be best bought closer to home. Some flatter folding articles can be mailed in a flat rate envelope. I will not offer this option for the more fragile or larger items that will arrive boxed. Priceless dresses are worth the cost of international shipping; ordinary items are not. I do not provide any other mailing services for international packages than Priority mail with tracking, it is a joke to collect it and takes well over 6 months before they inform you that after your package went thru customs, the US Mail can no longer track your package. Delivery Confirmation is a way to prove to Paypal your item was shipped, not that it arrived, so if your package does not reach you that is the risk you are agreeing to take when you offer as an International Buyer. My Post Mistress from hell knows my business, so please do not ask me to mark your item as a gift or with a low value, I cannot comply. Also note, although I send the package Priority Mail, it can still take two weeks or more to clear customs and reach you.

PAYMENT:

I accept Paypal as it is safest for both buyer and seller. I expect immediate payment please, or request other arrangements prior to offerding so your item is not sold to another. Shipping has been determined by my weighing an item boxed ahead of time, so the shipping quote is correct.
