Custer’s June 23rd campsite on Rosebud Creek is marked by a stone pyramid on the highway. The archeological team was granted access to this private land for inventory purposes. A few 1876 era artifacts, including buttons, a fired cartridge case, horse shoe nails, and a coffee tin were recovered providing some insight into the size and layout of the camp. 
Authentic original General Custer artifacts. Each purchase gets 3 horseshoe nails. Blacksmith mark is seen on some nails. A magnificent patina is seen. Some signs of hammer forging.
