Description: A steel shaft adapter to convert a crankshaft from 3/4 to 1 inch shaft. The adapter isapproximately3 inches long and includes the step key needed to go from the 1/4 in key way to the 3/16 key way. A very handy way to use your old pulley on a new engine.The shaft adapter with special step key is show in the 3D model.

The yellow is the key and the blue is the adapter sleeve as viewed from the end.

The thicker part of the key goes through the groove in the adapter sleeve. This should

be a snug to tight fit. You should slide the adapter on the shaft then install the key,

it may require a small hammer to gentlty tap it in to place. It is intended to be a tight fit!

Being loose will not properly transfer power and will create vibration which is harmful.

Please note: most people missunderstand the way the key fits. It needs to be tight or it

will not last.

Also the wide portion of the key sits in the adapter, not the narrow part.

The narrow part will go in the keyway groove of the smaller shaft. It will go only in the

small shaft and the larger part will go through the adapter AND the larger keyway.
