This week we are pleased to offer a substantial collection of advertising ashtrays dating from the 1920\'s to the 1940\'s. These ashtrays were produced by the same makers of the advertising signs of the era - General Steel Wares of Toronto, P&M Orillia, Vilas Montreal, etc. They were used in restaurants to promote certain brands offered at the particular establishment.
The majority of the ashtrays I am offering are porcelain, but there are also painted steel, lithographed tin, ceramic and glass examples mixed into certain lots.
All of the ashtrays I am offering advertise Canadian Breweries and/or theproducts they offered. Unlike porcelain signs that hung on a wall, away from potential harm, these ashtrays were made to be used, and as such are difficult to find in decent condition - generally speaking the examples offered are in very good, collectable and displayable condition.

The Ashtrays Measure anywhere from 5 inches to 8 inches in diameter. If you have specific concern about the size of one of the ashtrays, please ask before offerding.
CONDITION:
Condition Varies on each individual ashtray. There is absolutely no touch-up, clear coat or restoration on any of these ashtrays. Some show minor edge porcelain loss, some chipping, and minor staining. Others are virtually perfect with no significant wear. Please look over the photos and offer accordingly.
Keep in mind that there may be minor edge chips seen only from any angle that hasn\'t been photographed. Because of this, I encourage you to ask questions about a specific trays condition if you are curious. It is also important to note that I have made no attempt to polish or clean these ashtrays - they are being offered in \"as found\" condition.
