50S TIN BATTERY OP JET PLANE BASE SUPER SABRE AIRPLANE GREAT TOY YONEZAWA JAPAN
Price: US $425.00
I\'m selling a terrific tin toy Jet Plane Base made by Yonezawa of Japan. The toy measures 7 3/4 inches or 20 centimeters wide and it has a length of 11 inches or 28 centimeters. The beautiful Super Sabre airplane, which fits into the base and becomes part of it, measures 9 inches or 23 centimeters long and it has a wingspan of 7 1/2 inches or 19 centimeters. The toy is complete, I think, with the exception of a crank on the back right of the base. The base also takes two D batteries and the battery cases are very clean, although the cover for one side of the base is only held together with one tab instead of two. The only thing that happens when the base is turned on is that the radar screen turns on.(Photo #3) I am not sure what else it is supposed to do and it is so terrific as it is that I didn\'t really care if it worked or not. I really hate to give this up, it was not in the plan. Also, when you push the on/off button to release the plane, it does, but it only moves a few inches. I think someone with a little knowledge of battery operated toys could fix this wonderful toy right up. **MORE PHOTOS TO COME** CHARGING CAMERA**

****************I was informed by a viewer that there is a crank handle missing that is needed to wind the plane up to take off. I tried to wind it with a wind up key and it made a noise like it was winding, but when you pressed the take off button, the plane only moved a few inches. I do not have a lot of knowledge about battery operated toys, especially this one, so thanks to the viewer who shared the info with me. It is a great looking toy either way!! ************
