This tractor has an engine out of a 855 in it which has 24 hp,The original engine which is complete comes with the deal. The engine ran well with no funny noises but smoked and used oil so I put the smaller 855 engine that I had as a spare for my 855. It will need a top overhaul or has broken rings. I never took the engine apart and comes complete .
