I\'v been recapping Mac / Amiga / NeXT for years.
Just bought an Office just for this, MacCaps.comI have 3 kids at home, and fixing boards there just was not working out.
So now that I have an office I need to keep up a regular work flow.
- Basically what you are paying for is this:- Professional / Careful Hot Air De-Cap- By hand Pad scrub with flux and copper braid- Mess clean up with Qtips and Chemical Solution- Wash, Regulated Air Compressor Dry- Re-Cap with Quality Japanese Replacements.- Test.
If it still doesn\'t work after the Re-Cap, at this point I will give you another30 minutes for free, If i have to run a Patch wire, or Hot air off another I/C to repaira trace, that is fine. After 30 minutes I will contact you and let you know of my progress.
And at this point its up to you to decide if you want to continue with service or just send yourrecapped main board back, and Hit the schematics and figure it out your self with the schematicsand meter etc... I have most Schematics for most Boards. So i can include those for free withpurchased service if you are interested.
After the Re-cap and after the first free 30 minutes, my Bench fee is $36 dollars an hour.
A good most of the time , Most boards just need to be De-Capped/Cleaned/Re-capped and all is well. Some boards can be problem boards, I have worked on them all many many times and i knowmost of all their flaws.
My shop is in Novi Michigan, just send me the bare board, NO need for Ram or Vram simms, I already have all those here to for testing. And consider it done.
