If your 520 / 1040 / ST / STF / STFM or Mega ST has TOS 1 or TOS 1.02 over 6 x 28 pin roms then you will be able to replace those roms with this 6 chip TOS 1.04rom set - simply replace the roms - NO soldering or any other modification required
If your machine has a 2 chip rom set then you would have to move some solder pads via soldering and on some machines possibly remove / disablea small chip
