Commodore P500 Case and Keyboard
The P500 was a machine that Commodore intended to release shortly after the Commodore 64, but due to the runaway success of the C64, and the similar specs that the P500 offered, Commodore decided to cancel this machine. They had sent some preproduction models to dealers which were inadvertently sold, making this an extremely rare machine. Only a handful are known to exist in private collections.
More information on the Commodore P500 can be found here.
The P500 is one of those extremely rare Commodore machines that almost never shows up for sale and when it does it sells for thousands of dollars. This, of course, is not a complete machine, but if you already have a P500, or hope to acquire one someday, having a new case and keyboard can be invaluable.
This sale is for a case and keyboard that are in new condition andapparentlywere never used. It is likely these came fromthefactory as parts of P500 computers that were never completed.
