VINTAGE Windows 98 SE DOS GAMING COMPUTER PC AMD 800Mhz Rare No Capacitor Type
Price: US $3000.00
First of all, this is a very interesting system and I'm not sure I've ever seen one like this. There is not a single visible capacitor on the main motherboard, not one. Theoretically this board could run for a very, very long time. Of course other parts may wear out first, hard drive, power supply etc, but this board could very well run for a ludicrously indefinite amount of time. I thought very hard about selling this machine at all or keeping it in my personal collection. This is an great running Gateway KAD Select 800 desktop computer with Jabil Kadoka Final Revision 5 motherboard & AMD Athlon 800Mhz processor. Everything working, no problems. It is in great condition overall, I fully disassembled, dusted & cleaned everything, including the floppy drive and tested everything thoroughly to be in full working order.Windows 98SE installed. Drivers used are on 2nd partition. Universal USB drivers also included. (Can use most flash drives & some other devices, very nice to have.) AMD Duron Processor running at 800Mhz. Runs 98 very well. Also has 3 back USB on motherboard, 2x serial, parallel, PS2, VGA & audio connections with Joystick/Gameport!Optical drives are Dvd/CD-rom & CD-rw, both working very well. Used to install windows, copy files & boot.Floppy works great, had zero problems. Tested to format, boot, etc.
(Due to the unstable nature of floppies & floppy disks however, I cannot also guarantee it will work flawlessly for you.)AMD Irongate 756 chipsetNvidia TNT2 graphics card - awesome card for compatibility with old/DOS games. 32mb video memory.Creative Soundblaster Live! - Model: CT4670 audio128mb of memory - (Pass memtest multiple times) (1x 128mb stick, other slots open still)30gb IDE hard drive (fully tested in hdtune, no bad sectors.)No Ethernet card. Can add one if desired. PCI expansion slots open.New CMOS coin battery.
Would make a great old DOS gaming system! Or could also be used for CNC, embroidery, machining etc. Really geared well for old gaming, not too fast, not too slow, and highly compatible parts & drivers.A really fantastic machine, runs perfectly still, all fans sound smooth, not noisy & really clean inside.
