This Apple II Plus is great cosmetic shape, however on start up it produces a screen of random characters and so I am selling it for parts or repair.
The motherboard is extremely clean (see photos). I swapped in a new CPU, 8-bit latch, and 74LS257 in an attempt to get a normal screen on boot up but it must me something else, maybe a ROM, or another logic component.
This is a very nice machine with a beautiful mainboard so I hope it goes to someone who will be able to repair it.
