The vintage ImageWriter II is Apple\'s workhorse dot matrix printer, useable with both the early Macs and the Apple II. These printers were built like tanks and continue to be the best choice for your vintage Apple II or Mac. To learn more about Apple ImageWriters, please click here .This particular ImageWriter II is serial number 0556517, and comes in the original Apple box with all the styrofoam packing inserts (see last two photos). This ImageWriter is one of the few produced in the creamy white color called \"fog,\" which matches the Apple IIc. The case is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and just a few scuffs (see photos). The listing includes a long DIN-8 data cable and a power cable with an angled socket (photo 1). There is no manual, but these are readily available on-line.The inside of this printer is super clean (photo 4). I think it has spent most of its life in the box. I tested this ImageWriter II with my Mac SE/30, and it printed the test document perfectly (actual document and printout shown in photo 5). The ribbon is a bit faint, but still useable. Replacement ribbons for ImageWriters are still available.You don\'t very often find an ImageWriter II in such nice condition with its original box, let alone in the creamy white fog case.On request I will send the sale winner at no charge PDF e-mail attachments containing the official Apple service manual for the ImageWriter II.
