This Hitachi VisionPlate Tablet Computer is in brand new condition. It has be stored unused for over 15 years. It still has the protective plastic cling attached to protect the screen (see photos). An AC Adapter is included. The tablet starts up and appears to work very well. The tablet starts up and goes through the boot process. I was able to view the BIOS screen (see photo). The battery works very well and holds a good charge - see specs below which state that charges hold for 2 to 3 hours up to 5 or 6 with low power settings.

This computer was designed to run either Windows XP embedded or Linux operating systems. I was able to install Puppy Linux 4.00. The linux desktop loads up. I was able to connect to WiFi and use a browser online (see photos). I was unable to get the touchscreen working, but I think it may be possible by adding the right driver and making system settings adjustments. I used a USB keyboard and mouse to operate the VisionPlate.
