I bought this in 1977 and used it until it stopped working about 1992. By that time, I had another system (see my separate Intersystems DPS-1 listing), so I just moved the hard drives and software to that system and never investigated the problem with the IMSAI. The IMSAI contains an Ithaca Audio A-1010 CPU board with a Z80A, 64K RAM (eight 8K boards: five Seals, two Industrial Micro Systems, one Ithaca Audio), Serial I/O board, Parallel I/O board, video display board, PMMI modem, ICOM floppy controller, two extender boards (one terminated), and a Cromemco ROM board with an 8K text editor in ROM. There are also four unused slots.System includes an ICOM 5 1/4\" floppy drive in a matching case. Also a custom box containing two 8\" floppy drives, a cassette tape drive, and cassette storage.I originally used the system with a modified TV set as the monitor.
