Both sides shown.Red wool broadcloth, blue silk ribbon edge binding, blue glazed cotton lining and glass beads. The condition is excellent and the bag doesn\'t appear to be missing any beads. 4.5 inches wide and 4.3 inches high with the flap closed. Has many 16/0 and 18/0 beads. The bag has a black fabric strap that isseparatednear the middle. In the archives of the Iroquois Museum in Howes Cave, NY is a photocopy of a similar bag that was collected around 1860 at Caughnawaga (the present day Kahnawake Reserve near Montreal). This piece is part of the Made of Thunder, Made of Glass, American Indian Beadwork of the Northeast exhibit that traveled to four museums from 2006 -2009.
