A fine and rare P.D.Mallochof Perth No 13561 black japanned salmon fly box, measuring8\"x5\"x1\"1/2 and containing a fine collection of 59 fully dressed,built winged Victorian gut eye Salmon flies. With cream painted interior withnickel silver leaf springs. The box contains a great selection of flies, up to7/0 in size and includes patterns like Jock Scott, Avon Eagle, Ackroyd, DurhamRanger, Black Doctor, etc... and are themselves presented in mostly mint,unused condition and contain rare feathers such as Indian Crow, Blue Chatterer,Toucan Breast Feather, etc... Box dates for the late Victorian period.
