in an edition of only 6dolls worldwide + 1 AP boy.

This is #6 which I painted with soft tones, withrealistic baby blotches, blemishes, and soft veining.

She was sculpted andmade by me ~ Romie Strydom

About Baby

Amelie Rose is a full bodied silicone baby, with a balljointed neck. She is flexible and moves like a real baby. (videolink a bit further down)

I sculpted her from aball of clay, which I have reproduced into a small edition of softplatinum silicone babies. Her body is poured seamless, (one piece) with no glue etc.

I only use the highest grade Platinum silicone, and use different shorestrengths (hardness) silicone on different parts of my babies, the harder silicone is used where I would needmore strength for durability and less movement/flexibility etc on the doll andsofter silicone where I would need more movement,making her move like a real baby. You can see her movement in the shortvideo.

I have given her soft armature in her arms only, for elbow movement, not in hershoulders, so she is still very flexible and doesn\'t compromise this at all.I love how her arms move.

My dolls heads are securely attached with a ball joint, making it easy to turntheir head, with a very strong joint, making it impossible for the headto come off, yet still has great movement, and will fall backwards or forwardslike a real baby, and move side to side . This is demonstrated in the video.

Amelie Rose has been painted with my own blend of colors,with beautiful coloring and soft mottling. No detail has been missed on her.

She is totally adorable, very realistic and is totallysolid. Being solid, her hair cannot be sealed inside her head, soextreme care must be taken with brushing etc, as her hair can be pulled out.

I have painted her hair on her whole head, not just thehairline, then rooted (from the cute end) over this togive a realistic look.
