Blue sky’s and white fluffy clouds inspired VOGUE to design her costuming. You can see that right away. A puff of blues floating around her breathtaking face. That face, that spectacular FACE and LOOKY HERE > > > how thrilling is it to see such a fabulous exciting outfit that somehow, with all its loveliness and nuances it still serves to enhance her beauty!!! Its what those eyes and that face deserves, don’t you think? I could spend the day (oh wait I already have) gazing into those eyes. OK, I’m a little OCD about these dolls but really…LOOK at her. Have you ever seen anything so pretty?
Her dress is pale blue ninon with early tag and matching panties. I have seen the floral ones as well. These just flow with THAT blue and don’t show through the dress fabric. Though she does have the regulation tulle slip to hold out this wonderful still crisp fabric. Its in great condition with no snags or holes or rust. Love this fabric. Its so early-Vogue. And I am such a fan of Vogue. The amazing job they did, gee its really art. Shoes are fairly nice, in good vintage condition and they match well. Perfect little socks. Her old bow is sewed into her spectacular mohair wig. The real deal wigs have this particular every which way curl. They must have had a special way of handling the mohair because the only-stored or seldom played with girls end up with this special way of hair. Bubbly or bouncy. Full and fun. You can see in the pictures that itmoves. Looks alive! Though I am sure it was all slickered down originally, time has given it a fairly unmistakable style. Another reason to love these girls with only-time-made patina. Next to the new ones or the way too restored ones, they look like real little beings. The power of time respected by collectors in every field.
You should buy her. Really not fair that such a beauty who fills you with joy just by looking at her should be purchasable. I mean she should be in a museum so everyone could enjoy her. Failing that maybe you are the one to buy one of the most beautiful Vogue dolls ever made. Thrilling to know how happy she is going to make someone. That’s the ultimate fun of this. Selling a little girl who has been a source of beauty in our lives. (Bonus: early dolls hold the color of lashes and brows).
