This fine amplifier starts with a vintage Stereo 70 chassis and a huge vintage Baldwin power xfmr that was running a pair of 6L6's and FORTY 12AU7's. Plenty of power to roll those tubes! Then I installed a pair of Acrosound TO-300s for a truly legendary sound. Front end is handled by a 'Curcio' PCA that I modded into an all triode '5-20' topology. NOS USA 12AU7 voltage amps direct coupled to a rare pair of BUGLE BOY 6DJ8s that were pulled from a little used piece of test gear. With the installed 6L6's, power is 35 watts RMS per channel, from 20 Hz to over 40 kHz. AcrosoundTransformers feature 4-8-16 Ohm outputs andare lightning fast yet have plenty of low end punch. They feature UL taps on the primary for that smooth refined sound. Check out the front of this Amplifier; yes those black knobs are IMPEDANCE SELECTORS. Input sensitivity controls allow standalone use with a music player of your choice. On the rear, the connections are updated to banana jacks and a standard IEC power entry. The front end PCA features both bias and AC Balance controls. Adjustable fixed bias allows great flexibility and good overload recovery. Did I mention the ACROSOUND output transformers and BUGLE BOY drive tubes? Check out the ultra clean 2 kHz square wave into a real-world speaker/wire wound resistor load at half power Next is a 40 kHz sine wave trace showcasing the speed of the Acrosound transformers. Then half power sine waves at 20 Hz. The output tubes are the 6L6WXT+; of course I ran a bunch of them through my SOFIA rig and selected a couple of nicely matched pairs for your listening enjoyment. I spent lots of time listening to this amp; it is dead quiet and wonderful at low volume and clean and detailed when cranked up. My handle on DIYAudio is 'NuvistorDave'. I have been doing this for a long time and I know what I am doing so offer withconfidence!!I will also provide a Manual to the winner that includes the schematic and other details that will enhance the enjoyment of this Amp.

I just went through the amp, checked all the soldering and verified the IMPEDANCE SELECTOR wiring. Will add labels to the selector positions. Then one last glorious listening session just to make sure that the amp is operating well.

I got a Question regarding tube substitution on this amp. It is MADE for that!!! With the IMPEDANCE SELECTOR at your fingertips and that HUGE power transformer swapping in EL34's or 6550's or KT88's is a snap. The Manual will detail this.
