This sale is for an \"All American\" brand pressure cooker/home canner in the 15 1/2 quart size; nearly identical to the current All American model #915\'s but a little older and with the older style pressure regulator; comes with the original perforated metal base rack to protect jar bottoms from excessive heat. All American has been a leading seller in pressure canners since the 1930\'s and they are the only company to offer Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry made pressure cookers with a precision machined \"metal to metal\" sealing system with clamping locks that align the cover to base to form a steam tight seal, no gaskets (or future replacement gaskets) are needed. Their added feature of a readable pressure gauge for accurate pressure control, a safety control valve (\"rocker\" to you old timers) AND an over pressure plug provide the extra margins of safety that make these cookers comfortable for use even for the novice! Overall very good condition with some staining/use related discoloration of the aluminum finishes along with a little storage dust; safety plug in place; seals properly with clamps, no cracks or chips in Bakelite handles; the glass on the pressure gauge is missing, would recommend replacing the gauge, easily done with replacement parts readily available on a variety of sites; buyer could also replace the older style pressure regulator with the modern pressure regulator weight if preferred. Offered with a low starting price and so it can go to a deserving home that will put it to use!
