all brass railroad conductors lantern from 1860\'s, mfg. MM Buck St. Louis
Price: US $130.27
This beautiful complete brass railroad conductors lantern truly represents the 1860\'s era of design and manufacturing. The manufacture, MM Buck, St. Louis, is stamped on the bottom of the base for the fount and burner. The photos show how complete this lantern is and is ready for display using the original globe included or the new correct reproduction globe that looks beautiful in the frame. The frame has several stress cracks in the brass from age and manufacturing procedures of the 1860\'s and a few dents both in the bell and the top of the smoke dome that can be seen in the photos from its working life. These are better left this way as age will cause cracking of the brass if efforts are made to pound them out. Remember this lantern is approximately 150 years old and deserves a rest and be displayed for those seeing it to appreciate it. As I said the lantern is complete with fount and burner with photos showing everything to do with it. Thanks for looking and offerding. Should you have any questions please ask before making a offer. Good luck and hope you win this beautiful representation of early railroading in the United States. Selling to buyer in the lower 48 States only.
