From a Jackson, Mississippi private collection A striking Kangxi period blue and white covered jar, decorated with classic early 18th century motifs: crackled ice and plum blossom ground, diaper shoulder, and qilin beasts within landscaped cartouches. In Chinese, beast (shou) is ahomonym for longevity (also shou) -- hence the \"auspicious\" beasts theme. Wood cover included. Condition report: Basically perfect antique condition, with some surface scratches to lower half of the body.[Please view all photos carefully. 5. We ship within 1-2 business days. All items are mailed through USPS priority or express mail.
