This brooch is not signed but is identical in design and quality of detail with pieces made by Elizabeth Bonte. The brooch is beautifully carved with a shimmering translucency to the wings. There are two tiny tiny chips to the wings (you can see one clearly in one of the photos) which is the only sign of chipping to the piece. The pinback was repaired at some point, it works securely but I\'m not sure if it\'s original to the piece as there is some glue residue underneath the hinge of the clasp (but not the catch). There is a section of clear glue at the back of the brooch which shows a repair to the wing that was done. The wing is secure and it is noticable only under a loupe from the front of the piece. Overall this is afinely made and detailed, carved horn bee brooch, made by Elizabeth Bonte during the early 1900\'s that is in good condition.
