As you can see, the clock and gong are working well.
I will keep this clock running during the sale and post updates (way down at the bottom) if necessary.
This clock is ca 1904, Ansonia model \"Marquis\", brass body with gold-plated ornaments and visible escapement.
Delightfully, the two-piece porcelain dial has no cracks - a beauty.
All four beveled glass panels look good as well.
The clock shows patina from age and use, I suspect most everything is original.
The top finial is resting in place, it just lifts off.
The front door handle is obviously not original, perhaps you can find a replacement online.
Includes the key you see pictured (not original).
This is an 8-day clock with a half-hour gong strike.
The clock is about 15-1/4\" tall, 7-1/2\" wide and 6-3/8\" deep.
Clock weighs about 13 pounds.
Photos show actual clock you will receive.

PACKAGING
Clock will be professionally packaged and double-boxed, shipped fully insured and signature required.
All four glass faces will have protective glass film applied.
Interior of clock gently filled with soft foam.
Pendulum leader and gong gently secured.
Pendulum, top finial and key separately protected.
Multiple layers of protection around clock and then double-boxed.
So please expect an oversize box for safety and adult signature required.

Friday night update:
The clock ran all night and day just fine.
Then I moved it and it would run 30 minutes to an hour before stopping while I fiddled with the level.
It\'s back in beat now and is running good again.
I\'ll report again in a few days to see if it has lost or gained any minutes.
But bottom line - I think the clock does not need service at this time.
Just seems to be a finicky beat, so get it really level, and then adjust the pendulum for your location.

Sunday morning update:
OK, the last two nights the clock stopped after running 4 hours and 6 hours.
So I must retract my previous statement, this clock will need some type of service, adjustment, cleaning and/or lubrication.
From the stickers on the bottom is seems its last service was in 2005, so maybe this is normal?
And perhaps a knowledgeable clock person has some advice for me?
Just trying to be objective and honest about the condition of this beautiful antique clock.
Anyway, I\'ll keep the clock running through the end of the sale to see what else I might learn.

Tuesday Night, Final Update:
OK, the clock stays running for shorter periods of time now, sometime only a few minutes.
So it will need some service as mentioned.
Strange since it ran for over 24 hours the first time I set it up last week.
But I\'m hoping that\'s means it just needs a cleaning and lubrication.
Regardless, a wonderful antique Ansonia clock.
