Antique DogThis sale is for a very rare and very old antique long mohair stuffed dog that I found in the depths of a local attic where it has lived since the 1940s. The rare dog is articulated at the head and his head spins. He has glass eyes and a stitched nose. He’s all original, including the cloth bottom, and is in excellent condition but needs a MAJOR cleaning due to life in the attic. I see no holes or worn areas. The hair is kind of a tan and grey color, but I think some of the coloring is due to being dirty. On the inside of the bears belly there is a bellows style music box that when you squeeze it the music box plays – you have to keep squeezing to keep it going. Really nice piece and guaranteed old! The little boy who owned this piece was a child back in the 1920s, so I would guess that is when it was made. He was German and the bear probably came from Germany. Measures about 8½" tall and is guaranteed old!
