We are listing today for your consideration a great Antique 19th century Stoneware Salt Glazed Tornado or Bee Sting Decorated 6 Gallon Midwestern Red Wing Handled Crock. This crock is in Excellent Condition with 1 old 100% secure and sound tight surface hairline that extends from the top rim down to the decoration. At the back top rim there is a manufactured glaze covered chip that has some spider lines that extend downward from it, all appears to have happened during the firing. The crock is 100% sound and secure, it rings true when you tap it. There is one very shallow nick to the underside of one handle and some slight manufactured roughness and staining, there is a surface manufactured split line at the edge of the base. There are no other chips, cracks, and or repairs. Both areas are very slight and hard to see. You can refer to the pictures, we guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the excellent condition. The crock measures 13 3/4\" tall x 12\" at the top rim x 11 3/4\" at the base and weighs approximately 22lb 4oz. The crock features a great large cylindrical form with hand tooled and applied handles. A great large cobalt blue 6 with bee sting decoration on the front. A great example of Midwestern Stoneware dating from the mid to late 19th century. This Red Wing Bee Sting Crock would make a great addition to anyone\'s collection or home.
