This basket was madefrom gathered willow and fern on a 3-rod foundation with a spiral start and is typicalof Apache basketry. The pattern is well executed with precision and beauty.There is a human figure a horse an elk, and an enigmatic figure, perhaps ahorse & rider.

The Apache Homeland is in South EasternArizona and South Western New Mexico.
