This slide pendant has a beautiful shape and full profile with a unique male portrait that is in fine detail. The piece slides open to reveal its original mirror and mirror frame (which could be substituted for a personal photo). There is some wear and rusting to the mirror so it does not reflect very well and there are no cracks or chips. The silver setting has a light gold wash which has some wear and thinning however the piece still has a nice patina. The portrait is detailed with vibrant color to the eyes and mouth of the portrait as well as his soft and full head of hair. In the photos it may appear that there is enamel missing to the bottom of the portrait however it is just the way the painter decided to gradually thin out the portrait at the bottom and it does not look to be from wear/damage. The slide mechanism of the pendant works smoothly and secures firmly at the bottom of the piece. Overall this is a beautifully made and unique, Art Nouveau silver guilloche enamel slide pendant, that is from the early 1900’s and is in Excellent condition.
