Late 18th or early 19th century Bilston, Battersea enameled pill or snuff box with a hot air ballooning scene on the top

The box is in good shape overall with some cracking to the enamel on the bottom edges. The cover does not close down completely. The hot air balloon scene is hand painted in black on white porcelain ground with no damage which is surrounded by a metal frame & hinge with a pale yellow bottom. The inside is enameled in white which has some discoloration and some rough edges where the enamel meets the metal frame. There may have been some restoration to it, but that is just a guess as we are not experts.

This is an ORIGINAL box acquired from an estate in NYC.

The box measures 2\" by 1 1/2\" by 3/4\"
