Featured here is a very petite sized antique German bisque signed Gebruder Heubach miniature piano baby doll figurine with candy container! The reclining baby balances an oversized coralene coated Easter egg, which serves as a container for holding candies or other small items. The nubby texture of the turquoise egg is the same type of finish used on antique snowbabies. Even though this little wonder measures a mere 3 1/2" long, there is still a great deal of detailed modeling and painting of the face on the cherubic child. Note the molded blond curls and folds in the fabric of the gown. This type of quality is what the Heubach firm is largely known for. Many of the smaller scaled pieces of Heubach go unmarked, but such is not the case here. On the underside can be found the incised Heubach sunburst and the blue 'Made in Germany' circular stamp. Absolutely darling!
