Antique silver plated Victorian footed bride\'s basket. Features a ornate fold-down handle, fancy rim, and six etched designs of strawberries and leaves. The mark on the bottom shows the piece was made by E.G. Webster & Bro. of Brooklyn, New York. Research shows the mark to have been in use from 1873-1886 when the company name was changed to E.G. Webster & Son. The bottom is also marked Hard White Metal, Quadruple Plate and 94. The piece measures about 12.5\" high with the handle up, and about 6.5\" high with the handle down. The basket is 8.75\" in diameter across the top. The piece is in good condition for it\'s age. The plating has some areas of scrapes & wear. Very tarnished, and needs a good cleaning. The handle appears to have the plating worn off. Both the rim of the main basket and the pedestal base have minor dings along the edge making them slightly out of round.
