Being offered is this nice, large, beautiful strand of original, antique, vintage, very old Butterscotch Egg Yolk Amber Beads. They are untreated natural Baltic Amber. Almost all the beads show some amount of egg yolk pattern. Some have more pattern than others.
The total weight is 97.7 grams. The length is approximately 92 centimeters (or 36 inches). There are a total of 55 beads on this necklace.
The nice fat large master bead is 31mm x 26mm. The next size down are 24mm x 20mm, the next size down after those are 22mm x 17mm and they graduate down to the smallest which are 11mm x 8mm. The color is great and the beads show pattern and variation of colors. Crazing is visible under magnification. There is dust between the beads from where they have rubbed together over the years, and minor imperfections as you expect to see on this type of antique beads.
