Up for offer is this very nice original c1910 8-day Seth Thomas Sonora Chime clock.The case is mahogany vernier with brass feet has a few nicks on the bottom front probably from the key being dropped and a scrap or something on the top but overall a beautiful original clock. (see pictures) This clock strikes and chimes on 5 bronze bells and has a loud long ringing tone. The height is 14.5in., width 10in. and depth 6.75in. There are two movements 89 O for time and strike, 90 B for chime. They both work wonderful. The plates on the movements are the early open type with a lever though dial and on the side for turning chime off, which would be a tragedy as far as I am concerned. The sound of Westminster chimes on 5 bronze bells will add to the beauty of your home. The quarter hours are played on these bells and make such a wonderful melody that you will stop and listen every time they play. The Seth Thomas Clock Co. made these SONORA chiming clocks and they are as desired now as they were when first released. The dial is silvered, in good original condition says Seth Thomas Sonora Chime USA and has a fast-slow adjustment though front. Includes a bob with a seen of a man sitting on a fence and a key stamped New Haven .The key fits fast-slow arbor and the winding arbors.
