This ca.1880\'s -1890\'s Edward vom Hofe bamboo saltwater rod is 7\' long (total length), the rattan wrapped butt is 19 1/4\", the tip is 68\" inclucing the spike ferrule,the butt cap, reel seat and male ferrule are nickle silver. The butt cap is stamped Edw.vom Hofe & Co., Makers, N.Y. The top of the male ferrule is stamped Edw.vom Hofe & Co., A, Makers, N.Y. The rod has a set of agate butt guides, two sets of tunnel guides(top and middle of rod) and an agate tunnel tip top guide. The rattan on the butt is in very good,solid condition , the guides appear to have been rewrapped . All intermediate wraps are present. Some of the guides need cleaning. I will leave any restoration to the discretion of the new owner. This rod would be a good compliment to an early EVH reel. See all 12 photos for condition. Any questions, please ask before offerding.
