You are offerding on an antique (Serial #33746 early c. 1905-1909) Chelsea No. 1 Pendulum Eight Day Time Only WeightDriven Wall Clock. Measures approx. 34”L X 15.5”W(Top) X 5”D(Top). Much for thebuyer to consider. No returns. Pleaseread carefully. Movement signed, ChelseaClock Co Boston U.S.A. Very bright clean looking movement is running,but may have not been run for a longtime. So, there is no guarantee for continuedsatisfactory running. Pendulum is original, as are the hands.Pendulum has a 5-6 tiny dings.Dial appears to be an older repaint.Also, there has been a touch up atthe screw holes, and the winding hole has a grommet. Do not know if theNo. 1 had a grommet. Looking at theback the grommet looks to have been adapted to fit. There is also touch up onthe front side & lower area around the grommet. Couple this with extra dial holes in the case (filled-in)makes me think this is probably not the original dial. (Although it is oldmetal.)Finally, the center area between the 8-2 has ripples as if some tried toeven it out. (Really not noticeable when dial is in place.)Original glass. Case hashad professionalrestoration. Not stripped down but rubbed out to a silky smooth surface. But, still withthe tiny dings & chips you might expect to find on a hundred year +old clock. Weight is stamped 70. Baffle is new, painted a very nice dark green. No pendulum tie-down. Weight stop in place. Side Latch is working. There are wood movement set blocks that do notadapt to this movement. But, they are definitely original. Also, there arescrew holes (ear marks) from another movement midway on the left & right.(There are no holes in the back of the case.) Original instruction label top edge of lower door. Note:weight shipped separately. If you haveany info about the mounting blocks or the early serial #, please let me know.
