An antique Chinese Liao dynasty glazed stoneware ceramic vase, dating to 907 – 1125 AD.
An attractive, finely potted piece; sitting upon a flat base, the body widening at the shoulders which are decorated with a pair of parallel bands. Narrowing at the mouth, with a small raised lip, four strap handles have been applied, possibly to hang the vessel from a cord. The entire vessel covered in a crisp, yellow-cream crackled glaze.
