Mismarked box in the attic -

I’ve gone through most of the stuff from the attic so it istime to move on to the boxes in the barn…

I was (reluctantly) putting a box of tax records back in theattic and pushed a box out of the way and realized it was not Pepsi Glasses butthis fine old clock! Inside the bottomchamber is a label which contains a lot of information (see photos) but thedate is worn off (coincidentally right where the pendulum rubs). Because of the E. Ingraham & Co mark,research tells us it would be circa 1881/1882.It is the Grecian Mosaic design and very hard to find. I am NOT a clock person. I do not know if this runs. All the parts (including the pendulum, the chimethe pendulum strikes, the hands, two keys, etc.) appear to be there and it ismarked that it was serviced 8/69 – which I interpret as August 1969. There is also pen marked on the back that Iread as 764.75 – could have been a price (but it is also the zip code for Strawn, TX). I would like to say this is not a take it outof the box, plug it in, and it works clock.Even if I guaranteed it worked perfectly this moment, after shipping(and I brought it to a special pack and ship UPS* store for the shipping quote),you would still probably have to have it adjusted. Old clocks are temperamental.

In saying all that, this is a very special clock andextremely rare. The shipping is highbecause it would be very hard to replace and it comes packed professionally andinsured. If you would like to pick it upthat would be great and I would love to sell it to someone local. Good luck!

The $50 shipping option says it comes from outside the USA, but the outside the USA is not true. It was the only way I could list the $50 shipping cost option - please be sure this is originating from Newport Beach, California, USA.
